Injuries.

So...Kaitlyn says she's dying. right. I'll let her tell you about her current injury later. This post is one we've had on a sticky note on the wall by my desk for probably like..4 months..literally. We've been slacking lately..we know! SO, without further a mountain dew..

INJURIES.

Emily:
The earliest injury I can recall is when I was 4 years old, sitting on my mamaw's bathroom counter looking in the mirror (apparently i was a conceited child) and some how fell off. All I remember is LOTS of blood..pouring out of my mouth. Yes folks, i managed to scrap my palate. And I still have the scar to prove it!! I feel it right now!
After this..i'll just make a list of the ones that stick out:
Age 5, a girl on my softball team accidently busted me in the forehead with a metal bat. My head turned all kinds of neat colors in the following weeks, and my dad called me knot head.
Age 8, I was running around the house, and ran straight into the sharp corner of my mom's coffee table. Massive hole in my knee that bled forever. I still have that scar too.
Age(s) 9 and 10, i got my wrist on one occasion, and my elbow on another, shut in the car door. Thanks mom and kaitlyn.
Age 12, fielding a ground ball that the first baseman missed, playing right field, ball hit a small hole, popped up and dislocated my pinky. When i got back in the dug out to show my coach, the brilliant man tried to put it back in...I ended up with a hairline fracture.
(I have actually broken several fingers, but this was the one that sticks out best)
Age 13, sliding into 3rd base during a softball game, I forgot to wear my sliding pad on my leg and tore it up. I had no skin left on the front of my right leg from my knee to my ankle. I got cellulitis from it and mannnn did it hurt. I had this weird brown skin grow back in its place for the longest time..
Age 13, fielding a pop up fly ball at first base, the sun got in my eyes, i misjudged, and the ball hit my straight in the nose. Nose bled for a million years..and now it's permanently slanted ever so slightly to the right. awesome.
Age 13 (again), and AGAIN another softball incident, waiting on deck to bat, a yellow jacket flew up my shirt and stung my stomach 3 times before i got it out. I played a double header that day, while my stomach was swollen massively and i felt like i was going to die!

There's surely more..but apparently i've been pretty accident free for almost 6 years now! woop!

Kaitlyn:
okay so this is soley being typed with my right hand because i think i killed my left wrist. heres what happened: so i was struggling to get my backpack out of the back seat, so i slid my left foot back for extra support, not knowing that i had just stepped in a small puddle, i gave my backpack one more good yank, and across the garage i flew. and i then did the dumbest thing a piano player could do- i caught my fall with my left hand/wrist. and now it hurts real bad :(
okay so my injuries in life:
-we all know about the kevin roller blade in the grass boy incident.
-when i was 4 i had to get 5 silver teeth at once.
-when i was 9, emily dropped a brick on my right ring finger and BROKE IT. my fingernail came off,and i had to have 2 holes drilled in my finger.
-when i was almost 12, i broke my hip. yep folks, you read right. i was stretching getting ready for dance try outs, and my hip slid the wrong way and cracked and broke. fun stuff.
-aquired carpal tunnel and asthma at the age of 13
-age 13 i got hit in the nose with a basketball and it broke it,and i also had to have a mole removed from my leg and it didnt heal correctly so i have an ugly spot on the back of my left calve.
-age 14 i broke my left pinky toe right before youth camp.

praise God i havent died yet.
