well....

I'll root for the Saints, sure. But I'm not just about to jump on the bandwagon with all you fake-fans that just started liking them this year because the Saints aren't Aints anymore...
Honestly, I do not care for football in general. I like to pretend to get into it at random times if it is on, but in all actuality i know just about three things about football:
1. The teams switch sides after half time.
2. Kicking the football between the goal posts after a touchdown is called a field goal.
3. Offense runs the ball.(i think that means the crazy kid with the ball going towards the goal)
Sure,I'll go to a game or two a year maybe, but mainly for the social aspect.

I think this may be the first post we've had the we actually have the same view on the topic. But really, I agree. I am not a football fan, and really am not a Saints fan. But it would simply be unethical to say I'm not proud of them. It's about time they made it!
I will be watching this year, as I have every year (ok, as I have been present during the game every year) mainly because it's just American culture. It's what you do.
Though, can I just say that all the bandwagon fans are really bugging me? Living in Louisiana for the most part of my life, I have grown up around many die hard Saints fans (mostly my father's age) who loved the Saints even when they always lost. But now when they're winning, of course, everyone's a fan! Where were you when they sucked huh?
At least I can say I'm in the same place I was then.haha.
On the flipside, I cant stand when people root for the other team and bad mouth the Saints just because they want to be different and look cool. Can I just take this space to say - that is not cool, really. It is irritating, really.
Either way, I'm a little excited..mainly because I get to wear this sweet shirt my wonderful boy bought me, and I get to try out a few Super Bowl recipes! :)
